New Boeing 737-800 for Turkmenistan Airlines
A new Boeing 737-800 that landed at the Ashgabat International Airport is characterized by high efficiency, comfort, and can carry up to 160 passengers. The most advanced technology and design are used in navigation and electronic equipment of this aircraft.
One should note that an integral component of large-scale plans, which are gradually implemented in the transport sector, includes modernization of infrastructure and technical re-equipment of the national civil aviation sector, which plays an important role in air passenger and freight traffic on both domestic and international air routes. The National Civil Aviation Development Programme of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030 developed at the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is focused to use innovative technologies, advanced engineering and technical thought and the best world experience.
Specifications of new airliners provide an opportunity to use them not only for domestic flights, but also for non-stop flights from Turkmenistan to almost anywhere in Asia and Europe. Thus, the Turkmen pilots will be able to expand the regular international passenger traffic and increase the number of flights along the existing air routes, which is crucial in the context of the “open doors” policy implemented by Turkmenistan.
